NetEase Games has scheduled its upcoming open-world title Ananta for release on Jan. 15, 2027, bringing the game simultaneously to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, iOS, and Android.

The publisher announced the date alongside a gameplay trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live. Drawing inspiration from open-world fixtures like Grand Theft Auto, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Genshin Impact, the anime-styled project puts players in control of a supernatural investigator across two vast metropolitan cities.

Trailers showcase diverse movement and transit options, including Spider-Man-style swinging between skyscrapers and piloting a variety of vehicles such as cars, scooters, and futuristic aircraft. Outside the supernatural narrative—which features set pieces like climbing outside a flying plane—the game includes an array of optional minigames and urban activities.

NetEase is launching Ananta as a free-to-play release, though it diverges from the character-gacha models popularized by titles like Honkai: Star Rail. In-game spending will instead emphasize vehicle customizations, cosmetics, and decorations, steering the project toward a social RPG experience akin to Grand Theft Auto Online.
