Ubisoft has officially rolled out Title Update 1.8.0 for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, bringing the long-awaited New Game+ mode to the Viking action RPG alongside an array of new gameplay additions and system enhancements.

The core addition allows players to replay Eivor’s campaign from the beginning while preserving their previously acquired equipment, weapons, and progression. To access the feature, players must have completed the Holy Day quest in Hamtunscire. Subsequent playthroughs also scale up the difficulty to provide a tougher challenge for returning veterans.

Beyond New Game+, the patch incorporates an optional Extended Progression Mode and adds a dedicated gear stash in the settlement of Ravensthorpe. Players can explore an expanded Rune Forge featuring a new Superior tier and over 300 engravable runes. Maximum gear progression has been increased as well, enabling Divine-quality items to reach level 27 through a new Mithril upgrade resource. In addition, players are granted a free Master Assassin Naoe outfit themed after Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The update also targets performance, introducing PSSR 2 support for PlayStation 5 Pro players alongside two new achievements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes. Available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S six years after the game’s launch, the free download varies in file size from 5.26GB on PS5 to 15.02GB on Xbox Series X/S.
